What to expect at Painted Grove Recovery
Our programs are designed with you in mind. Every person who walks through our doors has a unique story, and we meet you where you are—with compassion, structure, and the tools to move forward.
Will you be welcomed with care?
Absolutely. From the moment you arrive, our team is focused on making you feel safe and supported. You’ll be greeted warmly and guided through an orientation process that explains what comes next. Our admissions team is available 24/7. We know this is a big step, and we’re here to make it easier.
What does detox look like?
If you need withdrawal management—also known as detox—that is where your stay begins. Our detox program's length is determined by medical necessity and includes 24/7 nursing supervision. You’ll have access to supportive care, comfort measures, and—when appropriate—medication to ease symptoms. We use evidence-based approaches to help you stabilize in a way that’s safe and as comfortable as possible.
What happens after detox?
Once your body has stabilized, you’ll transition into our residential treatment program. Residential treatment length is determined by medical necessity, and the program offers structure, accountability, and space to focus on recovery. We provide:
- Daily therapy: This includes individual sessions and group work to heal on multiple levels.
- Support for co-occurring symptoms: therapy here addresses symptoms such as anxiety, depression, or trauma alongside substance use.
- Trauma-informed care: We understand that many people come to us with difficult pasts. You’ll be met with patience, not judgment.
- Medication-assisted treatment (MAT): Medications like Suboxone, Subutex, and Vivitrol may be offered when clinically appropriate to help reduce cravings and support recovery.
This phase is where the therapeutic work sits: individual and group sessions, coping tools, and planning for what comes after.
What should you bring with you?
We provide the basics. Ask admissions what personal items you may bring — they will go through it with you on the call.
- Comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing
- Toiletries and personal hygiene items
- A list of medications and medical history
- Contact information for loved ones
We ask that you leave behind anything that could distract you from your healing—substances, valuables, or items that may not align with our recovery environment. If you have questions about what to bring or leave behind, our admissions team will gladly walk you through the details.
How long will you be in rehab?
There’s no one-size-fits-all answer—but we’ll help you find what’s right for your situation. For both detox and residential treatment, length of stay is determined by medical necessity. Your length of stay may vary depending on:
- The severity of your substance use
- Your mental health needs
- Your support system at home
- Your progress during treatment
However long you’re with us, you leave with a plan for continued care. That includes referrals to continuing care at discharge and connection to peer-support pathways.
