Aftercare Planning
Leaving treatment is the point at which most people are least supported and most at risk. Aftercare planning at Painted Grove Recovery starts while you are still here, so that what comes next is arranged before you need it rather than after.
What aftercare planning covers
- Referrals to continuing care with providers in your area
- Connection to peer-support pathways — SMART Recovery, Refuge Recovery and 12-Step
- Coordination with your outside prescriber where medication is part of your care
- A plan agreed before you leave, rather than a conversation you have to remember
This is planning and connection, not a programme we run after discharge. We are honest about that distinction because the alternative — implying ongoing contact that does not exist — is worse than saying plainly what we do.
Why the handoff matters
Tolerance drops during treatment. That is the physiological reason a return to use after a period of abstinence carries more risk than the use that preceded it, and it is why the weeks after discharge deserve as much planning as the admission did.
Coverage
Painted Grove Recovery is in network with Kentucky Medicaid and with the plans listed on our paying-for-treatment page. Being in network is a contract between the facility and the payer; it is not a coverage decision. Call admissions and we will verify your benefits with you.
Starting
Admissions answers 24 hours a day at 502.842.1425.
Frequently asked questions
Is there an alumni programme?
No. Aftercare here is planning, referrals and connection to peer-support groups, arranged before you leave. We would rather say that plainly than describe a programme we do not run.
